I am on a number of mailing lists.  I’m on the mailing lists because sometimes there is an absolute gem that makes me take pause.  I want to share one with you.  I’ve left the entire message in tact in order to ensure that the writer gets all the credit…enjoy! (more…)

There are countless descriptions of the difference between goals and dreams.  I’m sure that I’ve spewed a few of them myself in our training classes.

(Spew isn’t the most positive term I could of used, but we’re going with it.) (more…)

It seems like only yesterday, my children were learning how to walk.  My biggest challenge as their mother was to ensure that they understood the word “no” and went to bed when they were told.  As they’ve grown, they are able to take care of themselves quite well, but a new set of challenges have arisen.  They go to school and run into bullies and friendships…all needing a different level of care from me.

If you think about it, it’s the same with your clients.  Your clients were in one period of growth when they became a client.  As they’ve (more…)

I don’t know about you, but August went by like lightening this year!  I woke up this morning to my first day back to work after a week long vacation – it’s September already…or as my kids would like to say, only three months until Christmas.  Holy cow!

Sunday night and I just finished playing 4-Square with my husband and two kids.  It was so very muggy outside in our North Carolina air, but it was a BLAST!  My family is supremely important to me and 4-Square is just a part of how my husband and I help our kids to feel special.

It brings up an important point that we tend to forget sometimes.  No matter who is in our lives, we have to do things with them in order to help them to feel special.  I could tell my family all day long that they’re special to me and that I love them, but unless I act on it, the statements can become words without meaning.

What are your customers hearing from you?  What do your prospects think of you?  Do you say things that you don’t back up with action?

Take another look at what you’re saying in business and be sure that you back every word up with appropriate action.  If not, your presence and your words become less important.  If your words become insignificant, you could become a pest…and noone wants a pest to come around!

Be true to your word.  Sell ethically and be happy!
